Attend an Orientation Seminar

Begin medically supervised diet or registered dietician run program
Attend the Bariatric Wellness Program
Pre-operative consults with specialists and clearances (forward all documents to the center)
Pre-operative testing (forward all test results to the center)
Call the Bariatric Center when all consultations and testing are complete
Insurance Authorization
The Bariatric Center will call you with the date of surgery after obtaining insurance authorization
Pre-operative appointment with primary care physician (must be within 30 days of surgery)
Pre-operative appointment with Dr. Patel at the Bariatric Center 2 weeks prior to surgery. Receive all your pre-operative instructions
Pre-operative clinic will call the day before surgery with instructions
Day of Surgery
First post-operative visit at 10 to 14 days after date of surgery
Second post-operative visit at 2-3 months after surgery
Third post-operative visit at 6 months after surgery
Anniversary visit - 1 year after surgery
Annual visit and blood work for life
